Cheese

Cheese was a type of dairy product that was made mostly from milk. Cheese could come in many different shapes and flavours and was used as an ingredient in many foods.

During Rassilon's lifetime, the Lower City of Gallifrey had a cheese-making quarter. (COMIC: The Lost Dimension)

Cheese apparently existed on Alzarius, but not on the nearby "vampire planet" also in E-Space. (TV: State of Decay)

There were various types of cheese. (PROSE: Slow Decay)

Cheese dishes

Cheese could be eaten alone, (TV: Day of the Daleks) or used as an ingredient, such as in lasagne. (PROSE: Stop, Thief!)

It could also be used in sandwiches, including cheese sandwiches (TV: The Sea Devils) cheese and pickle sandwiches (TV: Meat) and cheese and tomato sandwiches. (TV: End of the Road) It could also be used to make cheese on toast. (PROSE: Bay of the Dead) It could be used in burgers, such as cheeseburgers, (PROSE: The Ruins of Heaven) and a Kronkburger could sometimes be served with cheese. (TV: The Long Game)

Cheese was a common topping on a pizza. (TV: The Parting of the Ways, Love & Monsters, Meat)

A cheese dip could be served alongside other dishes, including hazzlefrip plebemas. (COMIC: Midnight Feast)

Jack Harkness was often described as "cheesy". (TV: Boom Town et al.) According to Jack, "cheesy" was early 21st century slang. When asked, Mickey Smith reaffirmed that it was bad. (TV: Boom Town) Nina Rogers decribed Jack as having a "cheesy grin" and gave him the nickname Captain Cheese. (PROSE: Risk Assessment) Ryan Sinclair later described Jack as being "kind of cheesy", with Yasmin Khan adding that it was a "good cheesy". (TV: Fugitive of the Judoon)
