The Charge of the Light Brigade was a military advance made during the Battle of Balaclava on 25 October, 1854. Due to a miscommunication, the cavalry charged towards enemy troops and sustained massive casualties. (TV: The Evil of the Daleks, The Sea Devils)

Disguised as an aide, he handed the dispatch, ordering the attack, to a "baffled officer". Looking into the sphere, Ace saw a vision of this aide, and of the officer leading the cavalry into a battery of cannon.
