• After a public call for pitches set in or around the Boulevard of Alternate Brutalities resulted in almost 100 submissions, Obverse Books announced two anthologies of short stories in that setting. Of the list of writers who weren't featured in The Boulevard: Volume One, announced writers included Dave Hoskin, Simon Bucher-Jones, Kara Dennison, Alan Taylor, Juliet Kemp, Jay Eales, Courtney Milnestein, Joshua Prentice, Julio Angel Ortiz and Vince Stadon, Leo Healy, Aristide Twain, Thom Hutchinson, Aaron George, Ben Casson, George Wells, and Athenodora Cat.
