Most of the time, pages created by users should just be deleted immediately and create-locked. However, with so many stories being released each year, there are times where you might not notice that people have been beavering away on an article. If work has been ongoing for a while — meaning that there are a lot of interested editors — it may be better to replace the text of the page with this template, rather than deleting the page. It will probably stop enthusiastic editors from creating a "near-duplicate" name to circumvent the block.
Usage
Replace the entire text of the page with{{created too soon}}then edit- and move-lock the page.
Example
According to our spoiler policy, we should avoid creating pages until stories — or story segments, such as comic issues or episodes of a multi-part story — have been officially released. This page will be reopened to general editing only after that date. You should also not link to this page in any way until the story or relevant story segment has been released.
Note to administrators: To resurrect the page as it was, please choose to edit the revision that preceded this one, and press save. The page will then be restored to its last revision before being locked down. Thanks :)
