This game is so stupid. Every time I go anywhere, I get exterminated. After the fifth time, I gave up. User:Solar Dragon/Signature 13:08, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
- Why did they have to make the main aim of the game to sneak around! I am no good and hate games like this. User:Solar Dragon/Signature 13:26, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
- Since this is the Howling, I guess we have to speculate.
- My theory is they want you to throw your laptop at the wall, which will create a crack either in the wall or in your LCD, which will help make you feel more immersed in the series. :) --Falcotron 14:06, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
- Already did it with a knife through the screen :) User:Solar Dragon/Signature 14:07, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
- And, I have now changed it. User:Solar Dragon/Signature 14:08, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
- I cannot get past the third control thing in the Library-type part. It's so bloody annoying! Kerange 14:09, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
- The BBC really should release an official play-through video of someone doing everything exactly as intended. No matter what they say, I don't think it's actually canonical that "the Doctor walked around in circles for a while because Amy wouldn't go around the edge of the wall, then he accidentally walked directly into a view of the Daleks and got exterminated, but the last minute of time was somehow undone, and after four more reptitions of this, he finally made it to the Underground." Plus, it would be very nice for people who are disabled, over 35, or otherwise bad at games to actually be able to see the whole story. And if they don't, people are just going to post it on YouTube, probably with the usual annoying music you usually get over speed-runs.... --Falcotron 16:48, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
- Walk throughs may come after the whole game/story has been released along with detailed behind the scenes stuff. I think it's a little optimistic to hope for a walk through before they've released the game across both PC and Mac. --Tangerineduel 16:53, June 3, 2010 (UTC)--Tangerineduel 16:53, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
- I know. I'm just sick of trying to play it (at least I had no problems installing or running it--under VMware on my Mac, BTW) and want to just watch it and maybe come back to the game later. Plus, I'm afraid of throwing my laptop at the wall (although at least I know I won't knife it like Solar Dragon, since I don't have a knife in the room I'm in right now...). --Falcotron 17:47, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
Also, a complaint about the game: The speaking is out of sync with the lip movement. It is horrible to watch. User:Solar Dragon/Signature 18:17, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
- It's not bad for me. If you watch this partial walkthrough, it's about the same as what I saw. A couple times the sound starts before the lips start moving, but otherwise it's mostly good. There's probably something wrong with your setup. Maybe you should run it inside VMware on your PC too. :)
- Also, if you turn the settings down low enough, you get lower-res faces that barely move at all and don't even attempt to sync with the audio, which might be less annoying--although that's probably not worth the cost.... --Falcotron 18:34, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
Well, finally got out of the subway. This part is impossible however. The only way to go is near the taxi cab. Only place after that is into the line of sight of a Dalek. Stupid impossible game. User:Solar Dragon/Signature 07:50, June 4, 2010 (UTC)
- All you have to do is wait for the Dalek on the left to turn, go left, and then pass around the outside of the Dalek by the TARDIS. When I tried this, it went yellow just as I got in, but apparently if you suck less than me it can be done easily without leaving green.
- If you're stuck, a text walkthrough has been posted in a comment on Combom's blog, and should soon have a post of its own.
- Also, the video walkthrough I mentioned earlier now supposedly goes to the end of Act 1 instead of just halfway through it, if you can figure out which YouTube link takes you to part 2 of the walkthrough. --Falcotron 08:10, June 4, 2010 (UTC)
