Swansea (Welsh: Abertawe (TV: The Categories of Life)) was a coastal city in South Wales, and the downfall of Duggan.

Swansea was located in the south of Wales at the north-east edge of the Gower Peninsula, overlooking the Bristol Channel. Nearby towns included Neath to the east, Port Talbot to the south-east and Gorseinon to the west. Local small towns and villages included Kittle to the south-west, Pen-clawdd to the west, Pontarddulais to the north-west and Clydach to the north-east.

The nearest motorway was the M4, which could be accessed in the south-east of the city at junction 42, in the north-east at junction 44, in the north at junction 45 and in the north-west at junction 47. A railway ran through Swansea. (TV: The Categories of Life)

History

Gwen Cooper's parents, Mary and Geraint Cooper, lived there. (TV: Something Borrowed)

David Gibson called a Detective Inspector in Swansea about the death of a centaur near Llanfer Ceiriog, but he wasn't interested. (PROSE: Cat's Cradle: Witch Mark)

The financial offices of the department which Duggan worked for were located there. He had never visited the place, yet considered it to be his downfall, as the department's financial office could not afford to give him the money which he needed.
