- This issue was the subject of a question in an instalment of Radio Times' 100th anniversary Century Quiz, published in issue 5175. The question read:
- "The sci-fi series first materialised on TV on 23 November 1963, the day after the killing of JFK. By 1964, the space/time traveller had beaten the Daleks and was about to meet Marco Polo. The first Doctor was played by William Hartnell. Which actor replaced him in the role in 1966?" with Jon Pertwee, Patrick Troughton, and Tom Baker as the three options.
