I was watching the end of time today on youtube [love it] and I was just thinking about wilfred mott and the doctor being drawn together. The doc mentions that something is pulling those two dudes together again you think that its going to be for some big purpose like journey's end then tragically its because he's the one to cause his death. Great twist really sad that that was wilfred motts purpose. But I thought of this theory, someone has probably already posted it but what the hell, what was actually drawing the doctor and wilfred together was to defeat the time lords. Think wilf was the only guy not to be a master he handed the doctor his service revolver, now we know how despite his deadly rogues gallery the doctor never carries a gun. My friend once joked if he did carry a gun he would still be william hartnell, so its not likely he would have had one with him anyway. Imagine if the doctor did not have that weapon the time lords would have just vaporised him with that weapon of theirs and then no one would have stopped them, and they were about to kill the master before the doctor pulled the revolver on them you could say wilf was one off the most important people in the doctor who universe as it was his weapon that stopped the time lords from eradicating the past, present and future. I personally think that it was this that was drawing them together as really the death of one of the doctors incarnations is not that important an event in the history of all things is it. It dosen't seem like that would be enough to draw them both together where as stopping the end of all things would be, and as I have pointed out Wilf did play an important role in that he wasn't just a passanger. Let me know what you think do you guys think that was what was meant to be drawing the two of them together or should I just face the sad truth it was wilf who caused the Tenth doctors death.
