Kriz (The Brain of Morbius)

Biography

Kriz's spaceship was pulled to Karn by the planet's magnetic radiation belt and was wrecked, but he survived in an ejection bubble.

However, shortly after the crash, Kriz was attacked and beheaded by Condo so his head could be used by Morbius, but Mehendri Solon rejected it as unsuitable. (TV: The Brain of Morbius)

After Kriz was killed, the newly arrived Fourth Doctor recognised him as a Mutt. (TV: The Brain of Morbius)

Behind the scenes

• Kriz is never named on-screen; his name is given only in the closing titles and Radio Times programme listing for The Brain of Morbius part one, as well as in Terrance Dicks's novelisation of the story.
• The costume used for Kriz was a Mutt costume left over from Season 9's six-part story The Mutants.
