Igor Slanovitch was the Bereznik chief executioner in 2065.
Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]
Igor arrived in London Airport as a spy for Bereznik, intending to assassinate the World President, and appeared in the background on television as Greta Grant also arrived. This was noticed by Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward, who recognised him as the Bereznik chief executioner, wondering who he had arrived to kill and setting off with Parker in FAB 1 to follow him.
They trailed Igor as he arrived at a hotel and, upon seeing the light turn on in Igor's room on the third floor, Parker pressed a button in FAB 1 which launched a dart-like radio transmitter-microphone up into the window, allowing Parker and Penelope to listen as Igor detailed his plan to assassinate the World President on a call.
Not long after, Igor left the hotel and arrived at an airfield in Kent, where he set off in an aeroplane alongside a pilot, leading Penelope to borrow another aeroplane from a friend. As Penelope and Parker followed, Igor lined up to fire at the World President in Unity City. Parker upset the spy plane's aiming sights by brushing wings, leading to a hypersonic chase.
As the spy plane was gaining on Penelope and Parker, Parker fired a missile back at Penelope's command, as she felt they had little choice, leading to the destruction of the enemy craft. (COMIC: The Enemy Spy [+]Loading...["The Enemy Spy (comic story)"])
This air battle was reported on by TV Century 21, with their Unity City correspondent claiming that an International Press Agency release had provided information on this, although it was apparently unclear at this time which plan had crashed, the one containing Slanovitch or the one containing Penelope.
