Evolution was the first adventure seed in The Fourth Doctor Sourcebook.

The adventurers arrive by TARDIS aboard an Earth Empire ship where scientist Talon Movel is working on creating perfect android warriors. Movel is taking his androids to a war-torn planet to test their combat abilities, but the androids gain enough sentience to revolt against this plan. The adventurers realize that this is a fixed point in time: the origins of the Movellans.
