- The Dalek player character is a Bronze Dalek, i.e. of the model introduced in TV: Daleks [+]Loading...["Daleks (TV story)"]. Two Bronze Daleks are depicted in battle on the dice cup. However, two New Dalek Paradigm Drone Daleks are also depicted on the cover art. A mixed force of Paradigm- and Time War-style Daleks had first been depicted in TV: Asylum of the Daleks [+]Loading...["Asylum of the Daleks (TV story)"].
- The Daleks are attempting to invade the Earth. They were first depicted endeavouring to do so in the fittingly-titled TV: The Dalek Invasion of Earth [+]Loading...["The Dalek Invasion of Earth (TV story)"], and would keep trying with varying but never unmitigated degrees of success in many subsequent sources.
