UFO Validity via licensed Space Suit
In Countdown not only Was Doctor Who published but so was UFO a Tv Show created by Gerry Anderson. In one UFO strip space suits originally worn by the Third Doctor are also worn by members of SHADO (the organisation in UFO) as these Stroies where illustrated by the same person and thus legal licensed this I believe constitutes a valid crossover between UFO and Doctor Who. The strip the Uniforms appear in is called ‘to Old at 32’ and those same spaces suits (fully licensed and I believe intentionally reused as UFO and the UNIT era occur around the same time in the early 80’s) appear in Lords of the Ether (comic story). I would argue that whilst not necessarily a strong connection I believe that this is none the the less a true if minor corssover. Anastasia Cousins ☎ 14:44, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
- Could you provide images? Unless they're very distinct designs, I feel like an artist illustrating two spacesuits similarly wouldn't really count as reusing a specific element (even if I would like to cover a UFO story). Cookieboy 2005 ☎ 14:48, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
