Utahraptor was a member of the dromaeosauridae family like the Velociraptor, with whom it shared many of the same traits including sharp curved claws, a long balancing tail and a nasty attitude. Unlike its smaller cousin, Utahraptor was bigger and heavier than a grizzly bear, with some specimens being up to ten metres long and weighing the best part of a ton.
