At some point before the 511th century, Renark of the Rim led a "huge percentage" of humanity out of the Doctor's universe through the Ghost Worlds and into another universe of Renark's multiverse. (PROSE: The Coming of the Terraphiles [+]Loading...["The Coming of the Terraphiles (novel)"])

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • The universal exodus is depicted in Michael Moorcock's 1962 novelette The Sundered World, part of the Michael Moorcock Multiverse. In that story, Renark of the Rim discovers that it is humanity's destiny to succeed a powerful progenitor race named the Originators. The Originators have created humanity's universe as a sort of womb; now that humanity are aware of the multiverse, the Originators test them by destroying it. Renark spreads his consciousness to every human being and gathers them together to journey to a new universe. The results of this journey are seen in the novel The Blood-Red Game.
