Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
The time in which Garfield served as president is unstated. In the real world, James A. Garfield served as president from March to September of 1881. His assassination in July did not instantly result in his death, but rather the bullet and subsequent medical treatment caused an infection which resulted in his death two and a half months later.
