The Big Bang Two refers to the explosion caused by the doctor "rebooting" the universe after its destruction. In 1996, all stars in the universe had gone supernova, however the TARDIS' continuing explosion acted as a replacement sun, keeping the earth warm. When the Pandorica opened, it contained billions of atoms from the universe as it should have been, which had a restorative effect on a fossilised Dalek. The Doctor used a Vortex Manipulator to fly the Pandorica directly into the heart of the explosion, which was taking place at every point of time at the same time. This meant that the particles from within the Pandorica were scattered at every point in time, allowing their rejeuvenating effect to restore the universe, and as a result, the cracks in time never existed.
