Hi I was just wondering about Caan how much did he manipulate the time stream did RTD ever give a proper full length thing or did he just leave it to imagination. I mean we know he manipulated Donna meeting the doctor and other things like the tardis door closing but did he manipulate him meeting Jack and Martha in last of the time lords. As if Jack hadn't met the doc there would have been no severed hand in the tardis ergo no metacrisis. If that were the case then Caan has been responsible for all the major storylines in doctor who for the past four years. Hear me out Caan as a leading member of the cult of skaro caused all of series two I'E the rip between universes led the cybermen to come over the battle led to the departure of Rose. Series 3 Jack meeting the doctor is what led to the doctor meeting the master and bringing him to earth obviously series 4 was caused by caan not just the doctor donna thing but caan flying back and saving Davros caused the whole reality bomb thing . Even the specials as if Caan did cause the doctor Jack reunion then that is what resulted in the master being in the twenty first century which obviously caused the end of time. The end of time as we know led to the Tenth Doctors death [remember I dont want to go LOL] thus the birth of the eleventh doctor caused indirectly by Caan. Finally Those Daleks as far as we know in victory of the Daleks where survivors of Journeys end Daleks. and how were the Journey's end Daleks created by Caan saving Davros thus the new brightly coloured Daleks creation again caused by Caan. Furthermore the whole destruction and reset of the universe seen in the big bang was also indirectly caused by Caan as the alliance by imprisoning the doc stopped the doc from preventing the tardis blowing up in time. Who were two prominant members of the alliance the new Daleks indierctly created by caan and the cybus cybermen who only exist in our universe because of the cult damging the bariers between realities and also those later daleks damaging the barriers between realities. Thus to sum up if my little theory is correct then Caan is responsible for three threats to every universe, the creation of another Doctor the death of a doctor the metaphorical death of a compnaion the doctor being permantly seperated from another companion and the resuurection of another companion [Rory at the end of the big bang] and the restoration of four of the doctors greatest enemies Davros [who he saved] the Daleks who davros built and then those Daleks would build more Daleks and more and so on] and the Cybermen who were able to enter our reality through the void and the master if he manipulated Jack meeting the Master. Just as Kahn in Star Trek started off a massive storyline so did our Caan, what do you think I am I just going mental or is there truth to this theory

You are taking it way to far. Next thing we know, Caan is the true creator of the Doctor Who series and the last incarnation of the Doctor. The way you talk about Caan makes him sound like a god. He only manipulated things as far back as the end of series three or begining of series 4, all that happened after his death and the specials and onwards is a sort of, ugh, aftermath of previous events. I do kinda get a bit obsessed with timelines, and events. I do like the idea that those four Daleks could have caused so much. By the end of series three do you mean when he met Jack. Also I was never sure if he manipulated the first meeting of donna and the doctor or just their second one, but if as you say he only manipualted it from series three's end onward then he he obviously didn't cause their first meeting. And as for him creating doctor who well maybe he manipulated the doctor being born to finish the daleks and created the whole thing. Yeah I have taken it WAY to far LOL mad fan theory or what.
