Delta was the last Chimeron queen, who also fought in their war against the Bannermen. After the Bannermen killed all the Chimeron, Delta escaped in the Bannerman spaceship. Gavrok, the Bannerman leader, told Delta 'no matter where you go I will kill you,' so she hid on a spaceship tour, where a load of passengers were going to 1959 Earth on a ship that looked like a 1950s bus. Amongst the crowd were the Seventh Doctor and his companion Mel. Instead of Disneyland, they accidentally found themselves at a holiday camp in South Wales, where Delta and Mel were assigned to be roommates. Delta began to fall in love with the camp's mechanic, Billy. The Bannermen followed Delta, trying to kill her and her infant daughter. After defeating the Bannermen with the aid of the Doctor and the infant Princess, Delta thought it was time to move on, taking the Princess and Billy with her. (DW: Delta and the Bannermen)
