Sword

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

A sword is a handheld weapon usually made of metal, not unlike a large knife. It consists of a T-shaped handle and a long blade. Swords are far less effective than guns but many races utelise them as their initial weapon; it was used on many planets for thousands of years. Even when it was superseded, the sword was still carried ceremonially as a symbol of honor. (DW: Revelation of the Daleks)

On Fortress Island, the Doctor and the Master battled each other with swords. (DW: The Sea Devils) They would later do so again on 13th century Earth, albeit while the Master's identity was concealed. (DW: The King's Demons) The Doctor claimed to have learned sword-fighting techniques from one of Cleopatra's guards. (DW: The Masque of Mandragora)

Morgaine's forces, the S'rax, used swords in battle. The legendary sword Excalibur was the sword of King Arthur. (DW: Battlefield) The Sycorax also used swords to combat each other in their rituals. The Tenth Doctor and the Sycorax leader had a sword duel, which the Sycorax lost. (DW: The Christmas Invasion) The Sontaran Linx created a robot knight that fought with a sword. (DW: The Time Warrior)

On a minor note, "sword" and "words" are anagrams of each other, which helped the Second Doctor to turn a sword into a dictionary in the Land of Fiction. (DW: The Mind Robber)
