Armagedos was the home planet of a race of Near-Humans that was invaded by the Daleks.

History

The people of Armagedos had a conflict with the Daleks. When they found out that the Daleks were planning an invasion, they organised an evacuation to a colony where they wouldn't be found, gathering every ship they could find but realising that the Daleks would reach Armagedos before everyone could escape. The only option was to fight them and hope the Daleks could be held off until the last transport ship could enter hyperspace. Captain R'ar'Han'e reported the Dalek fleet to the the fleet at the moon of Devokos. Armagedos' best warships armed to the teeth with atomic cannons and polaron missiles engaged the Dalek fleet in battle, which numbered at least a dozen, pouring out armies of Daleks. Soldiers were sent into space to fight the Daleks but were swiftly exterminated. Armagedos then found a solution, by reversing the polarity of the neutron flow in the cannons it could penetrate the Dalek's shields, manageing to destroy a few of them. Although the defense force was suffering heavy casualties, the Daleks weren't breaking through and transport ships managed to escape. As the last transport made a move, a Armagedos ship flew headlong into a Dalek warship, destroying it and sending it's Dalek crew spinning out in to space like "little broken toys" as R'ar'Han'e described. It set them back long enough for the last transport to get away. The defense fleet then went into hyperdrive and escaped. Although Armagedos was taken by the Daleks, the evacuees were determined to defeat them and return. (DWBIT: #5)
