The Martian Axis was a group of Humans that formed following the end of the Thousand Day War and the defeat of the Ice Warriors of Mars. Initially, it consisted of a number of people that wanted peaceful co-existence with the Martians though their true purpose was nothing more than inciting civil disobedience amongst the Earth Alliance colonies. Thus, they became a terrorist group that espoused the belief that their actions were sanctioned by the Martians. As a result, the Martians ended up getting most of the blame for their actions and it was used to further the Axis's own cause.
Acts committed by the Martian Axis included the bombing of Coventry and the destruction of the Montreal monorail system. By stating that the Martians had sanctioned these attacks, the Axis had given itself a sort of justification for its actions against the Earth government. Ultimately, however, these acts were nothing more then simple, plain terrorism. (NA: GodEngine)
