Hello!
I'm a BA student of English and American Studies and I'm writing a term paper about Eve Myles dialect. My teacher told me that I have to write in it if Myles speaks English and Welsh and if yes if she grew up bilingual or not. I did some research, but I came up empty handed. Can somebody help me, please? I would be really glad!
Greetings
Jeanette
- I would suggest reading through her profile here (Eve Myles), the article about her on Wikipedia Eve Myles. Her IMDB entry and the various other links on the Wikipedia page.
- Also check what shows she's been in, if any of them are Welsh language shows.
- It is likely that she's bilingual, I don't remember when Wales instituted it, but they did institute a policy of teaching Welsh in schools, official signage in Wales is in Welsh and English. --Tangerineduel 12:51, July 19, 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you. We are not allowed to use Wikipedia, but I already read this page. Wikipedia is my best friend. Without Wikipedia I wouldn't have passed my a-level exams, I guess.

- I would suggest reading through the sources of the Wikipedia article .
- As I said, check out when Wales started their Welsh language policy and cross reference that with when Eve Myles was in primary and secondary school (which can be worked out from her birthdate). That would allow you to suggest that she's bilingual, but there has to be a source out there either on Wikipedia or IMDB. But if not throw search at whichever search engine you want relating to Eve Myles, Welsh speaking etc. --Tangerineduel 13:09, July 21, 2010 (UTC)
