The Mykuootni were a species of aliens from the Gyro Nebula. They fed off the energy of nuclear fission to power themselves. They were able to make themselves invisible and had electric claws. The Doctor encountered the species at Skelsdale Power Station and was said to know of them. He defeated them with nuclear fusion energy, which made them sick and forced them to retreat. - The Mykuootni were designed by twelve-year-old Jack Shepherd, as part of a contest run by Doctor Who Adventures. Not only was his design featured in a comic strip, a model off a Mykuootni has been put on display at the Doctor Who Experience.
