Centuripede

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Revision as of 17:54, 18 March 2011 by Medes (talk | contribs)

The Centuripede were a race who travelled to Earth in 2050 in order to breed.

Biology

A mother Centuripede looked like a giant centipede from Earth. It was brown in colour and had white eyes with red cracks in the center. The mother Centuripede would then turn into a thin butterfly like creature. With pure black eyes, three digits and a beak like mouth, these came in various colours such as Blue, Green and Purple. The mother Centuripede's children would hatch from green eggs into this butterfly state. (K9: The Last Oak Tree)

History

A Mother Centuripede came to Earth in 2050 and travelled to the sewers of London to build a pod to transport her eggs. She needs oak wood to build the pod. She could have easily bred in Oak forests for thousands of years but as there are no more Oak trees she was at risk of being part of the very last spawning of the Centuripede on Earth which justified her theft of the Great Oak from a musuem.

Drake placed a vapour bomb into the sewers and K9 managed to temporarily hold off the vapour. Starkey then helped her by putting her eggs one at a time into the pod. After Starkey put all of her eggs in the pod, the pod rises and the mother collapsed and appeared to be dead, K9's power was then exhausted. As Starkey went to the mother, her body began to crack into white light, knocking Starkey down. The mother then transformed into a butterfly-like creature.

The Mother was last seen by Jorjie Turner and Darius Pike as she and her hatched babies flew up into their pod. As a reward for helping them she and her babies gave Starkey and K9 a lift to the surface away from the bomb and as a token of appreciation she gave Starkey three Oak Acorns stashed in their nest from Robin Hood's time period.
