Not sure if it's been mentioned but I've noticed several things in the episode The Impossible Astronaut that make me believe numbers will be very important in season 6.

  • The license plate on "old" Canton Delaware's truck when he arrives is not a license plate. It's not even a poor British attempt at an American license plate. It is an all white placard with a string of about 7-8 numbers starting "147...".
  • The light reflected from the school bus carrying Amy and Rory at the beginning don't look right. Watch as it passes the hill in shade. Appear to be ones and zeros associated with binary computer code.
  • The numbers on the envelopes.
  • The year 1969.

That seems a lot of odd or important numbers. I'm guessing these will significant towards unravelign the deeper mystery of season 6. Perhaps a code in the mode of Bad Wolf. After all, River and the Doctor enjoy communicating in the base code of the universe as they did when the Doctor launched himself and the Pandorica into the exploding Tardis.

If I'm right the trouble will be in decoding the number message and also deciding which numbers are relevant. Is the year 1969? Bus number 51? Age 1103? Canton Delaware the Third? There are lot of numbers. More than I picked up I'm sure. Also, what is the message? Who sent it? Who is supposed to recieve it?

Pure speculation. Sorry if it has already been pointed out.

  • I did not pay that close attention to detail, but Utah makes white license plates and they have 7-8 numbers/letters on them. I think the year will prove important though, the Doctor made a big deal about it. -- Rest In Peace Sarah Jane \ Talk to me! 12:48, April 26, 2011 (UTC)
  • And I'm quite positive that says "A47938" 6 characters which is the norm for the states. V00D00M0NKY 12:54, April 26, 2011 (UTC)
