Zog was a planet which had a city named Zaggit Zagoo. Within the city was a bar Jack Harkness visited. The Doctor, before his tenth regeneration, came to the bar as well to introduce Jack to Alonso Frame. The two men chatted as the Doctor left. (DW: The End of Time)

Behind the scenes

• Though the words "planet Zog" were spoken on screen in The Unicorn and the Wasp, it is likely that Donna Noble was just inventing what was to her a fictional planet.

• The planet on which the bar Jack visited was located was never named on-screen. The Zog of The End of Time was named in the script of that episode, and in the commentary which accompanied its broadcast.

• "Zog" is casual shorthand for "some arbitrary alien planet". Russell T Davies used that phrase a lot, for example when describing a scene in Doctor Who as "the planet Zog... again, Cardiff."
