Thanks for your recent edits! I'm Jimbo, your robot wiki representative! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is actually a great time to have joined, because we're now fully independent, and working on a host of new features!
We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:
- the listing of all our help, policy and guideline pages
- our Manual of Style
- our image use policy
- our user page policy
If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! — you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:
Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:Thanks for becoming a member of the TARDIS crew! If you have any questions, see the Help pages, add a question to one of the Forums or ask an admin.
Deletion tag
You can't delete a deletion tag without discussing it on the discussion page. Giving you a heads up Darkraider09 18:39, June 13, 2010 (UTC)
Blocking of your IP address removed
I have independently reviewed the cause of the blocking of your IP address against our no personal attacks policy, and find only a borderline cause for you to have been blocked at all, and absolutely no reason for you to have been blocked for an entire week. On the basis of that, and your apology to the offended party, I'm therefore reducing your sentence to "time served", and releasing your IP back into the wild. I would say, however, that I can understand mini-mitch's frustration with your language, as it did sail fairly close to an offence under the NPA policy. In future, I'd ask that you try to enumerate your frustrations in a discussion. The more specifics you can provide in a heated discussion, the less likely it is for your words to possibly be construed as a personal attack.
For instance, were you to say...
- I find your actions moronic in this instance because:
- they're counter-intuitive
- in my opinion, they make you look like a petulant child who hasn't gotten his way
- they're not obviously supported by the community
- the way in which you want to change things is not supported by book x, y and z
...then your use of "moronic" can't at all be described as a personal attack. You're giving reasons supporting the use of the word.
That said, obviously you wouldn't want to go into more obscene words. There's no way, for example, you can reasonably make the word "f*cktard" seem reasonable.
In any event, please do keep contributing here in a constructive and positive way. We are actually glad to have you around.

Apologise.
I apologise for blocking your I.P account. I was very harsh of me, I did it stupidly in the heat of the moment. Please accept my apology and I hope there will be no hard feelings? Mini-mitch\talk 17:58, February 15, 2011 (UTC)
- That's shocking. Since you never apologised to me.
