Dermot was a television presenter in the 21st Century. When Dermot woke up late when he was meant to be hosting the National Television Awards, the Eleventh Doctor helped him get there with his TARDIS. After several short trips to various locations, some in the future, the Doctor and Dermot finally arrived at the National Television Awards in time. (DW: National Television Awards Sketch 2011)
