The Vaults were abandoned areas of the old Capitol which were home to power couplings, water reservoirs and one fluctuating access point to the Matrix. It was said in legends that the dying scream of Imperiatrix Pandora could be heard where she eternally screamed for revenge. (BFA: Lies)
