Ghosh Shift is the name given to the phase when Ghosts appear.
Information
Due to the opening of the Void ghosts began to appear all around the world. Torchwood 1 managed to build a machine to turn on and off the ghosts appearences. the phase when the ghosts were present was given the name Ghost Shift. The Ghost Shift was turned on and off using leavers in Torchwood Tower. When active the whole in the void glowed with a white light.
History
After the appearence of Ghosts Torchwood took control operating from Torchwood Tower turning the Ghosts appearence on and off. The public were given set times when the ghosts were going to appear. There were three shifts a day: Morning, Mid-day and afternoon. Mid-day was the shortest only lasting two minutes. Cybermen over-rided the ghost shift activating it. More ghosts then ever before came through a were revealed to be Cybermen. When the void was closed the ghost shifs ended.
