The Wooden King was a being created out of wood on Androzani Major. It grew from what looked like a Christmas bauble which Cyril Arwell had grabbed. Cyril followed the creature back to ", a copse of trees that had grown into a tower. When Madge Arwell was used as a lifeboat to save the planet's life force and travelled into the vortex, back to 1941, the Wooden King, with its Queen turned to ordinary wood.( DW : The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe.)
