Galacton

Galacton was the third planet in a star system with a red sun. Densely forested, the planet attracted the attention of the Daleks seeking to plunder the natural resources of the Universe to fuel the expansion of their Empire in the days before the Last Great Time War. They drilled into the planet's core to release the molten rock which was energised by a Dalek Squadron Leader trapped in one of the bore hole as an energy source for the Dalek fleet. The planet was ripped apart and not much is known about the red eyed creatures seemingly composed of the very ground itself, who offered formidable resistance to the Dalek might, at one point forcing an evacuation.
