  • Filming of The Beast Below featured Karen Gillan and her stunt double on wires outside the TARDIS.
  • The ‘goo’ in the Star Whale’s mouth included cabbage and bits of potato and stunk. “It was brutally smelly, really grim.” According to Matt Smith

  • Filming for The Beast Below on 10th September 2009 for the scene where Amy saves the day and Liz Ten abdicates, took place at Neath Abbey, Wales – about an hour’s drive from Cardiff.
  • Winston Churchill was the Prime Minister of Great Britain around 70 years ago, during World War Two. He became a national hero for the work he did.
