Anti-torture capsule

Anti-torture capsules were used by Space Security Service agents in the event of capture. They deadened all nerve centres and mades one oblivious to pain for twelve hours but were dangerous to use more than two in thirty days. (PROSE: The Outlaw Planet, Top Secret)
