Bruce Purchase (2 October 1938-5 June 2008[1]) played the Captain in the Doctor Who television story The Pirate Planet.
He was subsequently considered for the role of Noma in The Twin Dilemma. (TCH 40)
He shared his memories of The Pirate Planet on the story's DVD audio commentary and the documentary Parrot Fashion.
