Caleb Rochefort was an actor.
His career improved after he let the Selyoids merge with him. When he thought the Second Doctor might interfere, he gave Polly a gun and used their influence to make her want to kill the Doctor for him. She managed to break their mental hold and shot Rochefort instead. (PROSE: Dying in the Sun)
