Cars was the basis of a LEGO Duplo set which was sold at Sanderson & Grainger in 2011. Its box art featured a car with eyes next to a cactus. (TV: Closing Time)

Although not stated in Closing Time, Cars is a Pixar film.
Cars 2 contains a reference to Doctor Who, with a scene where Holley Shiftwell and Finn McMissile are captured and tied up inside Big Ben, with Holley determining that she must change the direction of the clock to escape, stating "if I can just reverse the polarity".
