Centrifugal separator

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

A centrifugal separator, often shortened to centrifuge, was a piece of lab equipment which rapidly spun samples of liquids, separating their component parts and any impurities so they could be more effectively tested.

Toshiko Sato used a centrifuge to separate a sample of oily water taken from Cardiff Bay. (PROSE: Black Water)
