The city known to the Romans as Camulodunum had originally been the Trinovantes' capital. After the 43 AD Roman conquest of Britain, (AUDIO: The Wrath of the Iceni) Emperor Claudius's army marched on Camulodunum, (GAME: The Legions of Death [+]Loading...["The Legions of Death (game)"]) which became the Roman capital of Great Britain during the Roman occupation, which lasted from 43 to the early 5th century.
