Whilst acting as the Great Healer of Necros, Davros used a fake life-support system or tank as a decoy at Tranquil Repose. This life-support system contained a "mask" of Davros's head complete with an offensive ocular system. In the Necros Incident, this tank was destroyed by assassins Orcini and Bostock of the Grand Order of Oberon, with what appeared to be Davros's head deflating, only for the real Davros to arrive and incapacitate them with the assistance of a Necros Dalek. Later, the Sixth Doctor visibly scrutinised the remains of Davros's mask within the tank, which was utterly destroyed when Tranquil Repose was destroyed by Orcini.
