The Third Doctor frequented the Diogenes Club, but was thrown out one time when his seventh incarnation showed him the answer to the crossword he was doing. The Doctor's earlier incarnation shouted at his older self, breaking the rules of silence. (PROSE: All-Consuming Fire)
Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
This fictional club first appeared in Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories. It was started by Holmes’s brother Mycroft, and was exclusively for unsociable people. One of its rules is that complete silence must be observed.
