In the Dalek City, the downfall of the Daleks has finally happened because of an almost-forgotten crime from thirty years ago.

All the Daleks are arrested and escorted into a police van for the murder of Thal 306 in the Decoy Food Ambush of 1963.

This story clearly refers to the events of The Daleks, which was broadcast across 1963 and 1964. The Thal killed in the food ambush in that story was Temmosus.
