The Eros Asteroid Belt was an asteroid belt within the Solar System. (PROSE: Stingray Hunts Aliens)
Although Jodrell Bank's Omega-Minus Detector Meter picked up a "mysterious signal" in deep space which indicated that the Omega-Minus device had entered the Solar System and was heading for Earth at high speed, (PROSE: Earth in Peril!) Jodrell Bank later lost contact with the device as it approached the Eros Asteroid Belt. As reported on the front page of TV Century 21 on 3 April 2065, Jodrell Bank's director Professor Logan released a brief communique which stated he and his scientists were "completely mystified" by this turn of events but that they were working non-stop to try and regain contact.
