The Eschaton was the spacecraft used by the Atrion expedition to the Chaos Pool. It had artificial personnel which did most of the work as there was little actual humanoid crew on the ship.
Captain Pargrave used the expedition to further his own interest in the Chaos Pool, and abandoned it long before it crashed into the planet Chaos. (AUDIO: The Chaos Pool)
