In one of the palimpsest universes observed by Omega, Rassilon was a woman and Omega's lover. Omega told the Infinity Doctor of this, clarifying that what he saw was, rather than a parallel universe, a version of his own reality. (PROSE: The Infinity Doctors)

A female original incarnation of Rassilon was documented in accounts dealing with the Kotturuh crisis (COMIC: Monstrous Beauty) in contrast to a variety of other accounts where the original Rassilon was male. (PROSE: The Legacy of Gallifrey, COMIC: Star Death)
