Dr Fergus McCrimmon was a 20th century scientist and distant relation of Jamie McCrimmon.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

Fergus McCrimmon was born and raised in Dulwich where his family lived after his grandparents moved from Scotland. He was aware that his ancestors had fought at the Battle of Culloden and that their battle cry was "creag an tuire". He became a scientist, was capable of flying an aeroplane and was a spy during World War II, using the name of "the Doctor".

In 1944, Fergus was sent to Normandy by Sir Aubrey Fanshaw-Smith, ostensibly to discover what Hans Richter's research was in aid of but actually to be captured and made to assist. He parachuted out of his plane when the Nazis shot it down and went on to assist the French resistance and save the life of Jamie McCrimmon, who eventually confessed that they were distantly related.
