Formation Red Icosahedron was a Dalek battle formation. It involved a fleet of Dalek flying saucers flying into the shape of the points of an icosahedron to surround a designated planet.
During the 1966 Dalek invasion of Earth, the Supreme Dalek ordered his fleet into the formation around Earth, allowing them to seemingly destroy it with their pulsator beams. (COMIC: Liberation of the Daleks)
