Gillie

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Gillie was the manservant of the late James Austin's estate. He had long since forgotten his real name and took on the name "Gillie" as it had been his nickname from Margaret.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

In his youth, Gillie would often find himself at the mercy of bullies and began retreating to the comfort of the woods as a form of escape. As years passed he began to spend more time in the woods, especially after his mother's death in a house fire - which he believed had been started intentionally by an onlooker. After many years of solitude Gillie, now much stronger, returned to his village and abducted the man. With the man's hands bound, Gillie forced him to walk for days on end threatening him with a knife. When Gillie finally found a place that he was comfortable with he murdered the man by stabbing him through the heart and buried him in a makeshift grave. Gillie was discovered by an old man who helped him bury the body and took him on as his protégé working at his Laird's house.

Over the years Gillie learned from the old man and began to master a number of gamekeeping skills. As the old man's health deteriorated Gillie also began spending more time as a servant within the house itself, where he came to know Margaret whom from he received the nickname "Gillie". After the Laird passed away the estate was taken over by his son who eventually lost it to gambling. On the same night the old man died and soon Gillie found himself alone again after Margaret moved to London in order to work with her cousin.

Numerous different job posts followed until he came into the care of the eccentric James Austin. (PROSE: The Irredeemable Love [+]Loading...["The Irredeemable Love (short story)"])
