Golden Emperor (Liberation of the Daleks)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

A duplicate of the Golden Emperor ruled the Skaro of the Golden City Zone, one of the psychoscapes based on various eras of Dalek history which existed within the Dalek Dome.

When Georgy Gold discovered her own nature as a simulacrum, she fled into the Golden City Zone. Fearing that all simulacra would be shut down, she hoped to form an alliance with the Daleks to save their kind. After hearing her testimony, the Emperor consulted the Brain Machine whose findings confirmed the human's words. Using the link between Georgy and Georgette Gold, the Emperor had the Interrogator's hypnotic signal beamed into the real world, allowing him to control the visitors and staff.

When the Fourteenth Doctor arrived, he informed the Emperor that it would take eons to construct a quantum-powered reality gate needed to stabilise his forces in the real world. Manipulating the simulation controls, the Emperor created a Mathematicians' Moon that could quickly complete the required calculations. Realising that she had been duped, Georgy broke the Interrogator's control over the people of the Dalek Dome, though he still maintained control over its technology, prompting the Emperor to order her execution.

As the construction of the gate commenced, the Emperor ordered the resources of the other eleven Dalek Zones redirected to their simulation so his whole Dalek Fleet could be stabilised. Georgette's group then arrived, rescuing the Doctor and teleporting away. Making contact with the Old Skaro Emperor, the Doctor formed the Dalek Alliance, telling them of the Golden Emperor's plan.

After a Dalek Scout Craft confirmed that the reality gate was stable, the Emperor launched his fleet, enacting the 2323 Dalek invasion of Earth while giving orders for Specimen Nine Lambda, the Dalek mutant he was based on, to be protected from the other Dalek factions. When the Dalek Alliance invaded the Emperor's city, he launched for Earth only for the Fourteenth Doctor to teleport aboard and sabotage his ship's navigational systems. With thirty rels until the ship slammed into the Mathematicians' Moon, the Emperor destroyed the Doctor's sonic screwdriver, promising to lower the force field binding the Doctor's TARDIS if he was offered passage to safety. The Doctor quickly agreed to the deal only for the Emperor to belatedly realise that his casing was to wide to fit through the doors.

The Emperor was killed when his ship slammed into the moon, collapsing the reality gate and destroying all constructs who had made it to the real world. Despite his passing, Specimen Nine Lambda remained alive. (COMIC: Liberation of the Daleks [+]Loading...["Liberation of the Daleks (comic story)"])
